Returns & Exchanges

If you are unhappy with your item, you may return it. You must notify us within 48 hours of receipt of your intent to return the item, and it must be shipped back within 5 business days at your expense using a trackable delivery service with adequate insurance. A refund of the purchase price less a 10% restocking fee will be made as soon as the item is received, provided that it is returned in the same condition that it was in when sent. Thank you!

Shipping Policy

Unfortunately, due to the weight of most of our items, we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or anywhere outside of the lower 48 United States. Due to various sanctions on Iranian made goods, we do not ship internationally. For those within our shipping area, unless you have been told otherwise, you can expect your item to be shipped within 3-5 business days. It will be shipped via UPS ground with adequate insurance. Your rug will be coming from our shop in Kensington, MD. 

Notes on Rug Descriptions

Please note that everything we sell is handmade, and therefore, imperfect. We make every effort to describe all imperfections, flaws or condition issues, so please read descriptions carefully. In general, the rug measurements that are given do not include any fringe or tassles. We use a scale of Poor – Fair – Good – Very Good – Excellent to rate the condition of our rugs with ‘Poor’ being used to describe a rug that has some holes and is probably best only for upcycling, and ‘Excellent’ being like-new or showroom quality. For age, we use the terms ‘New’ for rugs that have never been used and have been made in the last 20 years. ‘Vintage’ rugs are those ranging in age from 20-50 years that may or may not have been used. ‘Semi-Antique’ rugs range in age from 50-75 years. We use the term ‘Antique’ to refer to rugs 75 years old or order. Whenever possible, we narrow down the age of a rug to the nearest decade. Please, do not hesitate to ask us questions about the rugs you are considering. We want you to be happy with your rug purchase!
