You are welcome to come to our store anytime, no matter the stage of your rug buying journey. No preparations are required! However, for those customers who want to make the most of their time at our shop, please note that the following items will help expedite the process of picking your perfect rug:
Measurements
Our shop is much larger than your living room, and we have rugs from floor to ceiling, so your eyeball is going to get thrown off. Bring the measurements for your entire room, not just the rug you want to replace, so we can help you find a rug that will work. Also, take note of anything that might be in the way such as a fireplace hearth or an HVAC vent. In some cases, the dimensions of your furnishings (like a dining room table or sofa) are also helpful.
Swatches
If you are trying to match your rug to anything, be it draperies, furnishings or paint colors, please bring a swatch with you. If you are unable to find a swatch, take some photos and bring them, but also bring a small object from your home that is the same color you’re trying to match. A customer once brought a baby onesie into our shop because it happened to match the wall color exactly. It worked!
Photos
Photos of your home and the room where you wish to put a rug will be quite helpful for us to visualize your floor plan and your style. Photos or Pinterest boards showcasing rooms and rugs that you like will tell us which rugs to show you and which rugs to skip.
Decision Makers
We don’t expect you to make a final decision on your first day rug shopping. In fact, we allow you to take rugs home on approval so you have a couple days to think about it. However, if you want to make a quick pick, we encourage you to bring any decision makers shopping with you be they your spouse, child, mother-in-law or opinionated neighbor. All are welcome!
None of the above mentioned items are required for you to shop in our store. However, whatever you are able to bring with you will facilitate your rug selection experience.
