This particular “American Kerman” Persian rug runner is a beauty ready for your hallway. It would work with cottage chic or French decor, and is in a calming color scheme. This rug has yet to be used. It has always sat in store, so its condition is fabulous for its age. Only the white fringe is less than pristine. The pile is fluffy and stain-free and the edges and fringes are all original. You can see examples of Persian rugs in hallways here.

Kerman is a famous rug-making city in Iran, whose rug making history goes back as far as the 13th century. In the 1970s, Kerman’s open-field Persian rugs became so popular in the US, that they were nicknamed the “American Kerman.” In addition to a rich rug history, Kerman boasts being the home to the first Persian kitties and the best pistachio nuts on earth.
