Here is a really sweet little Ghiassabad Sarouk Persian rug that is just screaming to be at the door of a charming apartment or in an on-trend powder room. (See examples of Persian Rugs in Bathrooms here.) We can tell from the colors and style of this rug that it was made sometime in the 1990s and therefore would qualify as vintage, but we are unable to tell from the condition of this piece whether or not it was ever used. The condition is just that good, so it probably just sat in a shop its whole life.
This Ghiassabad Sarouk Persian rug’s design is sometimes referred to as a Four Seasons or a Garden Panel design. The rug has little pics all over and no defined central medallion. This rug is a pair (for now), so if you have a bed that needs a rug on either side, consider this beauty!
Sarouk is a city in Iran that is close to the rug making cities of Lilihan and Hamadan. The Ghiassabad Sarouk is like the higher end cousin of the regular Sarouk, with an extremely fine weave being one of the defining characteristics. If you already have Sarouk rugs in your home, then this one most certainly will coordinate. Enjoy!
