Description
This unique Abadeh Persian rug is from a teeny tiny village outside of Shiraz, Iran. Rugs from Abadeh have the whimsy and pattern of a tribal piece, but they have tight, high-end weaves that are more like city pieces. This gives Abadehs a very distinctive look, and make them a great pick for a high traffic area.
This vintage Abadeh Persian rug is in great shape with all its original parts and no stains, smells, holes or tears. You would never know that it was almost 50 years old. Also, it has been cleaned recently. The fun horse statues in the corners make this a great piece for a study and (in my opinion) for a Chess Champion! The rug is made for heavy traffic, so don’t feel bad if you want to use it as a fancy doormat. You can see examples of Persian rugs in foyers here. Enjoy!
