This unique Abadeh Persian rug is from a teeny tiny village outside of Shiraz, Iran. Rugs from Abadeh have the whimsy and pattern of a tribal piece, but they have tight, high-end weaves that are more like city pieces. This gives Abadehs a very distinctive look, and make them a great pick for a high traffic area.
This vintage Abadeh Persian rug is in great shape, and appears to have only ever sat in a store. The faces pictured in the field of the rug, paired with the yellow color make this a very unusual piece. It is both a collector’s dream and exceedingly functional.
